Finishing up this Inorganic lab report. It’s actually pretty damn easy relative to the other ones. haha! Tumblr is obviously distracting me…. lul. Still need to get some data from my lab partner. Didn’t get much sleep…. :/

Made a new compound today!! What is good!??!?!?!? Can’t wait to look at the data tomorrow. This is a possible start of a publication!

Just started a reaction with Uranium Tetrafluoride. First time handling a radioactive compound! :) It was a super fine aquamarine powder. A super beautiful compound. I wish I could take a picture, but I can’t take my phone out while I’m weighing out any chemicals and running a reaction.

Had to wear a mask too while weighing it out. After I put all the shit in the autoclave, we had to do a swipe test and made sure nothing spilled. Checked for radiation and stuff. Geiger counter and what not. Just to weigh out like… 37mg of it. (0.037g).

Pretty exciting cuz that was my first time actually “touching” and working with em. I see em all over the lab and what not but still. Lol.
